Vocational academy

At a Berufsakademie (BA), you will study with a very strong practical focus. As an alternative to studying at university, you will study in dual vocational training courses.

For 3 years, you will alternate between attending the BA for theoretical study sections and your training company for practical work experience. You will receive a salary throughout your training.

The entry requirements are the same as for a university. You need a general higher education entrance qualification or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification corresponding to your chosen course of study.

You will conclude a training contract with your training company, which must be a practice partner of the university of cooperative education. The general qualification is a Bachelor's degree. This is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from a university and also enables you to continue your studies at a university or university of applied sciences up to a doctorate.
