Many universities are well prepared for student parents and offer explicit support options. Many facilities are equipped with changing tables and play areas, and there are special meals for children in the canteens.

The Studierendenwerk Thüringen offers you numerous services and also arranges suitable accommodation for families.

In addition to the general childcare facilities, the Studierendenwerk in Jena operates 4 of its own daycare centers, where the children of students and university staff are given priority. There is also flexible childcare for children of students and staff at both universities directly on the university campus.
