Advice for trainees
Advice on vocational training starts with yourself and your immediate environment.
Think about your interests, what you enjoy and what you are particularly good at. Talk to your parents, teachers and friends about this and work out your special skills.
Internships or advice services at school and at the BIZ careers information center will also help you. This will help you to find out which apprenticeship seems particularly suitable and interesting for you.
Find out about the content of the training, for example from the relevant chambers and possible training locations. You should also clarify whether a certain school-leaving qualification or particularly good grades in a subject are a prerequisite for getting an apprenticeship in the desired sector.
Even if you are worried that you will not be able to achieve your desired apprenticeship immediately, you can seek advice on alternative paths and support.
