Migration and Integration Advisory Board
The Migration and Integration Advisory Board is an advisory body and is elected for 5 years on the basis of the main statutes of the City of Jena. The next election will take place in 2025.
It is an independent representation of the interests of all people with a migration background in Jena, strengthens their right to participation and makes recommendations for municipal actions and decisions.

Tasks
The tasks of the Migration and Integration Advisory Board of the City of Jena are
- representing the interests of all foreigners and migrants in Jena
- regular meetings
- Annual reporting to the city council
- commenting on municipal projects that particularly affect foreign and migrant residents
The advisory board can also make proposals, suggestions and statements on its own initiative and organize events.
Members
The Migration and Integration Advisory Board consists of 9 elected members with voting rights. Information on the current members can be found in the city council's information system.
Assessor
The public meetings of the Advisory Board are attended by the assessors who have been nominated by the various political groups on the City Council, the administration and groups, associations and organizations. They are not entitled to vote, but act in an advisory capacity and contribute their expert perspectives.
